Mark and Diane both agreed to share about their daughter Anneke’s experience in a Flat Rate Tutoring session with Individualized Attention. Mark – “We both work pretty irregular hours, sometimes too long to really be able to give Anneke’s schoolwork the attention it takes, and she was really struggling with certain concepts.” Diane – “Right, I mean I work retail, and I work anywhere from 7 in the morning till 8 at night, and Anneke can’t plan out what her teacher assigns to her that day. And besides that, I barely remember how to do long division let alone this thing, this foreign language practically, her teacher calls pre-calc.” Mark – “Exactly, no, we both weren’t equipped to deal with her kind of homework. At least you remember what long division is. I guess that means I’m even worse off. Anyway, we saw the LP Learning Center on KKTV and thought what have we got to lose? We put her in a small group tutoring where they focus on each student, and after a couple weeks, I asked her myself if she thought she was getting anything out of it, and she told me that she was now getting A’s on her tests every day.” Diane – “It was such a weight off all our shoulders to not see her stressing and anxious about her test every 2nd period. She told us that they were patient when they worked with her and another of her friends in the same pre-calc group. From our end, they were professional and flexible and really they came through just like she said they would. LP helped our Anneke to finally grasp pre-calc.”

Taylor, 15 years old - 10th Grade Taylor’s mother volunteered her opinion about the LP Learning Center and how it helped her son. “So Taylor’s getting to the place in school where teachers give research papers fairly often, and he would spend hours reading and writing. And it would worry me because he looked so worn down. I thought I don’t think this is right. He shouldn’t be this exhausted from his studying. It got worse when he started getting Cs and Ds on papers. The red writing on it constantly criticized his grammar and the way he wrote. We were fortunate to call the [LP] Learning Center when we did because I don’t think Taylor could have handled much more bad grades for all his effort. At the center, they taught him things we must have missed earlier in his schooling: grammar, clarity, and strong theses. I know that he is so much happier without the stress of research papers, and I’m happy when he is.” Sean’s mother tells how he advanced his reading skills beyond his grade level through one-on-one tutoring at the LP Learning Center. “I tried to work with him, but he was really frustrated with reading. He wouldn’t read the books for reports, and it got to the point that he stopped reading all other textbooks as well. I would ground him, but nothing helped. Nothing motivated him, and I asked him why he wouldn’t read. He told me the hardest thing to hear as a parent. He told me he was dumb. And you know, he actually believed it. And that broke my heart; I didn’t know what to do. I found the LP Learning Center online and gave them a call. They told me they had just the tutor in mind for Sean. I thought what could they do that I couldn’t, but Sean’s tutor worked with him one-on-one and gave him the tools to learn vocabulary, to read for the main message, and how to get the most out of a textbook. Now, Sean’s finished with his reading before I ask him if he’s done! His grades are up in all his classes, even math. To this day, I recommend the [LP Learning] center to my friends.” I 've been out of the school for almost twenty years. This summer I needed to take a Math exam. I decided for online tutoring at LP Learning Center. Guys at the learning center have done a great job-I got a "B".
Thanks, Safko Hi LP Learning Center,
we have seen that you have introduced a blog about success stories. Here is ours: You know when our son Jeremiah (at the moment 8th grade) was younger, I remember he would ask me how to add and subtract and things like that, and it never really posed a problem for me. I still remember the basics from school, but as he grew up and moved on to more difficult curriculum, I got more nervous. We would spend hours sometimes pouring over algebra problems and trying to search the internet for answers until we were both exhausted, and I finally said, ‘That’s it. We need more help. We need a tutor’, and it was humbling at first to admit that I couldn’t help with things like parabolas or matrixes, but I am so glad I called the LP Learning Center. His work not only improved, but he was no longer scared of his math book. He was confident, and that’s a priceless feeling to give your child. Thanks again, Mary June |
